Innovative Protection with Intumescent Paints
Steel’s vulnerability to fire is well-documented, with significant loss of strength at temperatures between 500 and 600 degrees Celsius. Our intumescent paints are designed to counteract this vulnerability. Upon exposure to high temperatures, these paints undergo a chemical reaction, expanding up to 50 times their original thickness to form a protective char layer. This layer acts as an insulator, protecting the steel from heat and preserving its load-bearing capacity.
